About the Nintendo Game Boy Color
The Game Boy Color added a color screen and a faster processor to the Game Boy formula. It plays original Game Boy games, many with added color palettes, and its own clear-shelled "black" cartridges only work on the GBC and later.
Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal are the games most people bought it for. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, Shantae, Dragon Warrior III and Wario Land 3 follow behind. Shantae and Pokémon Crystal are the most valuable well-known titles, and both are heavily counterfeited.
Consoles came in many colors and limited editions. Shell color affects price, as do screen scratches and battery-compartment corrosion. A lot of units on the market now have aftermarket backlit screens, which should be listed as modified.
